The Volga Germans in Portland, Oregon

Music of the Second German Congregational Church

According to Jack Hagelganz, "The Second German Church became known down through the years as a "Singing Church", due to the many fine singers and talented musicians who were led and encouraged by their faithful pastor to devote their God-given talents to the service of their wonderful Lord."
