New Book on the Miller and Hein Families

The Miller family was original settlers of the village of Norka, and the Hein family was original settlers of the village of Huck. The book is more than a simple list of family members or just a genealogy; it is a factual and true history of the two main families and also of the relationships and involvement of several other very notable families stretching back almost 300 years. Other families included or mentioned in this book also include, Gerlach, Grentz, Glantz, Fisher, Haas, Kraft, Mohn, Schafer, Schnell, and Vogel. The book is professionally printed and contains over 120 family pictures, some quite old, and several very detailed genealogy reports on the major families, some that go back 11 generations.

The book is 8 ½ x 11, approximately 135 pages, with a beautiful, full color soft cover, front and back.

Update - Norka Census Project

Many thanks to all of you who contributed funds towards acquiring the 1834 and 1857 Norka Census Revisions. The order has been accepted, however, due to a malfunction of the copy machine in Russia, we are now expecting to receive the documents at the end of August 2007. After receipt of the census records, they will be translated to English by Brent Mai. Please contact Steve Schreiber if you have any questions.

Norka Film Project
