NPR Morning Edition, November 27, 2007 · Russia is trying to lure back some of its former citizens who fled as the Soviet Union was collapsing in the early 1990s. By order of President Vladimir Putin, Moscow is planning to spend $100 million over the next five years to help Russians come home from anywhere they've gone. Some of the more than 2 million people who moved to Germany from Russia say it's tempting. Listen to this story.

New Lutheran Church in Saratov under construction in late 2007

Through the leadership of Pastor Alexander Scheiermann and the Evangelical Lutheran Congregation in Saratov, Russia, a new church is under construction. Additional funding is needed to complete this project.
